Two months down, one to go

Kevin is finished with month number two. He took his Fire Fighter 1 and 2 final and passed both of them!! Now on to Hazardous Materials training. He has to practice putting someone in the Haz-Mat suit and yes you guessed it I get to be the "victim". I now have a small glimpse into what it's like to be a Fire WOMAN... OK not really but we can pretend. The suit is HOT and STINKY!!! Kev says to me "At least the boots are mine and you don't have to wear someone elses but the suit who knows how many guys have worn that!" GROSS! But I did it cause I want him to succeed!!! It was kinda fun but I don't think I want to volunteer again! Here is a pic of me in the suit. It was GINORMOUS on me!

I had to wear the air tank which weighs like 15-20lbs. It's hard to breath with the mask on... especially when he attaches the regulator and the air IS NOT TURNED ON!!! Yeah he did that and it was scary! I still love him and I am very proud of him!!! Next month he will take his state test and will then be a certified Fire Fighter. Then we will just have to find him a job!
