San Antonio

Last week Kevin and I went to Texas. We aren't able to go on a trip in May to celebrate our 5 year anniversary so we went a little early. We spent the first few days in San Antonio. It was beautiful weather, it snowed while we were gone so I guess we picked a good time to go. We went to Six Flags and then spent the evening at the River Walk. It is really a cool place. We took a "gondola" ride down the river and heard about the history of the River Walk and San Antonio. We got to eat dinner outside along the river and enjoy the music of a Mariatci (sp?) band.

On Sunday we visited the Alamo. Kevin's nephew is studying the history of the Alamo at school and he was our "tour guide" , at least that's what he said. It is so incredible! It's amazing to me that it has being standing as long as it has. So much history there. It was so great to spend time with Kevin's sister and her family. Thanks for being such a GREAT tour guide Quinn! He has to be like his uncle and do the thumbs up to.

Six Flags is AWESOME!!! It's hidden by what I will loosely call "mountains" even though I know they are not but I can't come up with a better word. There are some really sweet roller coasters! It's hard to say which one was my favorite because I loved them all! Except for the wooden one! It was AWFUL! I had the worst head ache after! They have a cool water fall that makes for some great pictures. I of course made Kevin stop and we actually got a good pic. OK well a good pic minus the thumb... Kevin's trademark.

It was a great weekend. We drove back to Houston on Sunday and enjoyed the rest of the week there. More on that later.
